Sgt Fox was shot down and killed on the 25th May 1944

Earlier, on the 6th August 1942, Sgt Fox was shot down and evaded capture.


After returning to the UK he went on operations and eventually returned to 158 sqn were he was commissioned and reached the rank of Flight Lieutenant.
