Sgt Floyd's aircraft (Halifax Mk II JD116 NP-A) was attacking Krefeld on the 21st/22nd June 1943 and were badly shot up by a night fighter.
Some of the crew baled out including Sgt Denys Floyd.

In unknown circumstances, Sgt Floyd was killed either in the parachute descent or on the ground.

He is buried in the Reichswald War Cemetery.

The Flight Engineer Sgt A G H Ford was also killed but never found and is remembered at Runnymede.

P/O D C Cameron, who was the captain, finished his tour with a new crew.
